Examination & Evaluation

Classes I to V

I. For promotion to a higher class:
a. 75% attendance is required.
b. regularity and quality of day –to –day class and home work is essential.
c. performance in the Class Tests, Cycle Tests, Subject Activities and Project Work will be taken into account.
II. The whole year’s work is taken into consideration.
Therefore, no separate tests will be conducted for absentees.
III. No re-examination will be conducted on any ground.
IV. Academic achievement is evaluated in different subjects in terms of absolute grades as per the
Grading System given hereunder:

A* Outstanding 90% – 100%
A Excellent 75% – 89%
B Very Good 56% – 74%
C Good 35% – 55%
D Scope for improvement Below 35%

Classes VI to VIII

I. For promotion to a higher class:
a. 75% attendance is required.
b. regularity and quality of day –to –day class and home work is essential.
c. performance in all tests will be taken into account.
II. The whole year’s work is taken into consideration.
Therefore, no separate tests will be conducted for absentees.
III. No re-examination will be conducted on any ground.
IV. Academic achievement is evaluated in different subjects in terms of  absolute marks/grades as per the Grading System given hereunder:

A1 91 – 100
A2 81 – 90
B1 71 – 80
B2 61 – 70
C1 51 – 60
C2 41 – 50
D 33 – 40
E (Needs improvement) 32 & below
